Special Events and Opportunities at APS Annual Meetings

CSWP and APS sponsor or co-sponsor a variety of events of special interest to women in physics at the APS annual meetings. Events include invited sessions, receptions, and workshops. Special opportunities include networking gatherings and child care grants.

Small grants are available to assist APS meeting attendees with child care expenses.

The APS-sponsored conference, Gender Equity: Strengthening the Physics Enterprise in Universities and National Laboratories, brought together chairs of 50 major research-oriented academic physics departments as well as about 15 physics-related managers of major national laboratories.

Improving the Climate for Women in Physics

The Climate for Women in Physics Site Visit program helps physics departments and research facilities improve the "chilly climate" that women in physics often experience.
